Episode 1 — Cold to Warm
A fox who has bought barley tea every Tuesday for three years pauses in front of the cooler — and chooses warm coffee instead. The cat says nothing much. The fox takes a different road home.

A late-night convenience store. 2:14 AM. Rain on the glass.
Every Tuesday. Two in the morning. Same road. Same door.
For three years, the fox came in at 2:14 AM, walked to the third shelf of the cooler, picked up a barley tea — the way you reach for a light switch in the dark — and left exact change on the counter.
The cat never checked the clock when this customer arrived.
Then one Tuesday, the fox's paw stopped. Hovering just short of the bottle. Not touching it.
Cat: You're looking at it like you've never seen it before.
Fox: Have I always bought this one?
Cat: Every Tuesday for three years. Barley tea, salted crackers, exact change.
Fox: Is that a long time?
Cat: Depends what you were waiting for it to feel like.
The fox stood there for a moment. Then his paw moved — past the barley tea — to the canned coffee on the neighboring rack. He turned it over in his paw. Studied the label.
Fox: I'll take the warm coffee.
Cat: Cold to warm. That's a whole season.
Fox: Maybe that's enough for a Tuesday.
He put the coffee on the counter. The cat rang it up with one small tap of the register. No further exchange.
At 2:21 AM, the fox pushed through the glass door into the rain — and turned right instead of left.
He took a different road home. The coffee stayed warm until the second corner.
The cat stayed behind the counter, watching the empty rain-streaked glass.
The clock on the wall read 2:21. The fluorescent light flickered, just once.
Theme: Routine — and the quiet weight of a small change
Guest: A fox in a slightly wrinkled suit, who had been coming here every Tuesday for three years
